The Maths and Statistics Support Service (MASS) provides free individual support for any mathematical or statistical aspect of your course or research. The service is primarilly staffed by academics from the Department of Engineering and Maths.

Maths and statistics support is provided through a mix of online and face to face sessions during term times. Online stats support is also offered outside of term times.

The maths and stats support website has now moved to the SHU library webpages which has the most up to date information on session times.

Get advice on a wide range of academic skills and library services from different specialists through the skills centre drop in session (Wednesdays 4-6pm) or bookable 1:1 appointments.
